I've occasionally done some talks about stuff, and sometimes they've been recorded and put on the internet. I don't have my own channel for this stuff, so it's always from the conference or whatever I was speaking at. They're all on youtube at time of writing, so, here you all go.
Bipedal gaits on uneven surfaces - a talk about some of the R&D I did from a Creative Victoria grant a while back, about trying to get a satyr-like creature (a biped with four knees, that is) to animate well as it runs across a very bumpy surface. Pretty esoteric, but maybe interesting. This was the first Technically Games, in 2020.
Render target freestyle - from Technically Games 2021, this is a kind of 'intro to somewhat modern renderers' and description of how you can get creative with render passes.
Depth Buffers in Detail - a rundown of what depth buffers are, and all (well, a bunch of) the stuff you can use them for. My last talk from Technically Games, this was 2022 (they stopped doing long form talks after that, alas).
On Making Games Without Engines - a live talk this time, from IGDA Melbourne's August meetup, in 2025. A bunch of people really liked this one apparently! I was kind of expecting it to be a bit controversial.
